Bernard "Hap" Kliban (January 1, 1935–August 12, 1990), was a cartoonist. In 1975, he published "Cat", the first book to feature his famous tabby cat character. Judith Kamman Kliban is his wife who has continued to expand and strengthen his legacy after his death in 1990.
