Packwood Lake, located in the Cascade Mountains of Washington near the town of Packwood, is approximately 2 miles long and 0.6 miles wide and its maximum depth is approximately 160 feet. It is a popular place for day hikers and campers.

It was such a shame that strips of the back of this card were torn away in its journey to me, so I could not read Hootnoodle's intended message...

Loch Lomond

Irene has the good fortune of living in such scenic surroundings and breathing the healthy Highland air. Loch Lomond is set amidst one of Scotland's most idyllic and unspoilt areas. It is the largest lake in Great Britain, with thirty or more islands and views of mountains looming beyond. Isn't it awesomely beautiful?

Funnily, I learnt how to play the Loch Lomond tune on recorder/piano at school. But not to sing the actual song:-

Peyto Lake

I read that Peyto Lake and Peyto Glacier, Peak (2970 m) and Creek are named for Ebenezer William "Bill" Peyto (1869-1943), who became one of the best early guides in the Canadian Rockies and that this park has such magnificent views wowing visitors that visit it. Can I go there like, today?? It's awesome!!

Mount St Helens

Prior to the massive eruption on May 18, 1980, Mount St. Helens towered majestically above Spirit Lake. Today, the changing landscape of Mount St Helens displays the awesome power of the earth to tear down and rebuild along with the amazing tenacity of life to survive and renew.

This is a beautiful winter scene! Plitvice Lakes National Park has sixteen lakes, inter-connected by a series of waterfalls, and set in deep woodland populated by deer, bears, wolves, boars and rare bird species. It is Croatia's most popular tourist attraction, and was granted UNESCO World Heritage status in 1979. Alienne is so lucky to have visited this Park. I wish to walk (or hike) through the Park too, taking in the beautiful surroundings...
