A Typical Vietnamese Market!
Sender: JoinHanoi
A typical market!
I'm so happy to get a market card from other places, like Vietnam. That's the beauty of joining the Daily Life/Culture/People RR, that I can get to see the differences in other countries (like markets/market days) as opposed to the ones in my home country.

Grand Bazaar, Istanbul
Sender: SihirliFlut
The Grand Bazaar (Kapalicarsi in Turkish) is one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world with its 4,400 shops, 3,000 firms, some 17 hans (separate inns for specific type of products), 64 streets, 25,000 employees, 4 fountains, 2 mosques and 22 gates. It's heaven for shoppers who wish to buy gold jewellery, precious stones and semi precious stones, carpets, leather goods, silverware, copperware, ceramic items, wall plates and good tile plates, fabrics, weaponry and antiques. Deeper inside the bazaar, tourists may explore religious icons, used watches, old pages of calligraphies or beautiful amber-stone work.
There are also belly-dancers costumes...
