Hook Island is a rugged island, mostly national park, with breathtaking lookouts and excellent snorkelling and scuba diving.

The highlight of the Cairns Foreshore Promenade is the 4800-sq-m saltwater swimming lagoon, a feat in landscape architecture bringing the beach-cum-swimming experience to the heart of the city. Fitness enthusiasts blade, cycle or just walk the 3km Esplanade Walking Trail, and travellers meander lazily up and down the Esplanade, popping into restaurants and shops until the wee hours.

This painting shows the country of the Emu that once thrived between the Wallamba and Wang Wauk Rivers. This area, known as Minibah, means "place of learning".

Tobwabba Art tells the story of the Worimi people from the Great Lakes region of coastal New South Wales. Tobwabba Art is a living portrayal of the rich and diverse culture of the Worimi people that has been passed down through the generations. Royalties from the sale of licensed products go to Tobwabba Art and benefit the Worimi community.

Professor Chris O'Brien

Founder of the Sydney (Australia) Head and Neck Cancer Institute and active member of both societies, diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in 2007. He passed away after a battle against the cancer.
