Wayne Thiebaud (b. 1920–) is a Californian painter who is best known for his iconic still lifes of all-American foods and products, such as cakes, pies, sandwiches, cosmetics, and toys. He is also known for his San Francisco cityscapes and his richly hued views of Northern California. The cakes and pies, the best known of Thiebaud’s work, are painted from his imagination and from long-ago memories of bakeries and diners.

Café Schwarzenberg dates back to the start of the 20th century and the café continues to uphold the theme of the traditional Viennese coffee house. Here café-goers can browse through a selection of international newspapers, drink any number of the café's huge selection of coffees and teas or order some traditional specialties from the bakery.
I would really like to sit by the window with my closest buddies and enjoy a plateful of sumptuous cakes with cup after cup of aromatic coffee...
