'I' is for 'Island', Daydream Island, Queensland, Australia!

An amazing name for an island! It conjures up images of relaxing days on the beach...

Daydream Island is situated just off the coast of Queensland. I read that it is one of the most sought after holiday destinations in Australia. Apparently, you should go there if you want a holiday where you could be pampered to death...! Ooo..the notion of being pampered during a holiday is so tempting...but....I should be so lucky!  :-)

The Römer is the oldest section of the town hall in Frankfurt. It means "At the Roman", as it refers to the historical Roman settlements which existed there long, long ago.

Niagara Falls - Chutes Niagara

Niagara Falls, New York, U.S.A. (left) and Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada (right) are connected by the Rainbow Bridge. Built in 1941 it replaced the Honeymoon Bridge which had been destroyed by a huge ice jam.

I'm so happy to get an aerial view of Niagara Falls that shows both the USA portion and Canada portion of the falls!

Here's a kitten staring at you!

A Kitten

He's nothing much but fur
And two round eyes of blue,
He has a giant purr
And a midget mew.

He darts and pats the air,
He starts and cocks his ear,
When there is nothing there
For him to see and hear.

He runs around in rings,
But why we cannot tell;
With sideways leaps he springs
At things invisible -

Then half-way through a leap
His startled eyeballs close,
And he drops off to sleep 

With one paw on his nose.

I read that in Hanoi, much of everyday life is lived outside on the sidewalks. Take a look at the picture above. Just a sidewalk, but each person there is doing their own thing. Cutting someone's hair, having a haircut, looking on, reading a book, waiting..Check out the little boy having his hair cut. I am sure he is placed on a tiny stool atop the barber's chair!

I love the stamps. Especially of the ladies with their traditional flowy costumes!!
