Field of Sunflowers

Sender: Crizle

Crizle sent this golden field of sunflowers for the yellow themed cards in the Colour RR.

The text on the card states that:-
"Sunflowers at their peak and almost ready for harvest. Sunflower seeds are sold as bird seed, stock feed and in the production of sunflower oil."

I read that in the past, people used the sunflower seeds for a variety of treatments. Here are just a few:-
  • Improve energy
  • Diuretic
  • Treat constipation
  • Chest pain
  • Ulcers
  • Treat worms (eww!!)
  • Improve eyesight
Sunflower seeds contain important nutrients and are a good source of polyunsaturated oil. Sunflower seeds are chock full of vitamin E, B1, manganese, magnesium, tryptophan and selenium, as well as other important nutrients such as phosphorus, B5, and folate.
