A Studio Ghibli movie of a mystical battle between Animal Gods of the forest and humans. A lush visual delight.. As you can see by now, I am a big fan of Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli, and this is one of my favourite of all his films. Go watch it now!

The Hobbit

Bilikasana

Sender: BeckyS

Text on card:-
BILIKASANA: This is a slight variation on the human yoga pose known as Cat Posture. While cat yogis appreciate their recognition in the name of this posture, simply posing as a cat is slightly boring for them, so they prefer the variation.

LOL!!!!

[The real thing!:-
Bilikasana - Yoga Cat Pose
The Bilikasana is a a popular yoga warm up exercise, where you imitate a cat's movements by arching and hollowing your back. This exercise stretches and strengthens your abdominals, your shoulders and your back muscles. Move slowly and breathe in and out deeply and slow.]

A Fairy by Aurélie Blanz

Sender: Barbara
A pretty fairy postcard, Illustrator: Aurélie Blanz

“AurĂ©lie Blanz was born in Bavaria, Germany, in 1973. She has been drawing since childhood, and illustrating children’s books was always her greatest dream. After graduating from art school in Paris, she began working for publishers in France, Germany, and the United States. She loves inventing figures, playing around with colors, and creating her own world. She also likes to be in touch with her readers, so she works with children in schools and at book festivals. AurĂ©lie lives in Paris with her husband and three children.”

The fairy is wearing a dress that is similar to our traditional "baju kurung"  :-)

Cape North Lighthouse

Sender: Sandra
A lighthouse with a red and white checkerboard pattern.

Since the postcard did not identify its location, I Googled its image and found a lighthouse looking like the one pictured on the card: Cape North Lighthouse at the Canada Science and Technology Museum in Ottawa, Canada.

Aubergine Borshch

Sender: Alenaks
A Recipe for Aubergine Borshch
It shows the ingredients on the front of the card and the recipe on its back.

Borscht, which is sometimes also spelled borsch and borshch, is a vegetable soup that is almost always made with beets. The use of beets in this soup lend the dish a vibrant red color. The recipe on this card is suitable for vegetarians as there is no meat in it whatsoever.

I'll definitely try to cook it for my family.
