Red Flag Watercourse / Red Flag Canal
It is an artificial man-made canal located on the joining point of three provinces on the north part of the Linzhou City 20km to the downtown area. It winds through the splendid Taihang Mountains.
In order to thoroughly solve the problem of water shortage, Linzhou people worked diligently by hand labour for the whole decade from 1960's and built up the Red Flag Canal on the precipitous cliff of Mt. Taihang reputed as "Man-made Heavenly River". This canal diverted the water of Zhanghe River from Shanxi Province to Linzhou.
