Mariyinskyy Palace

Sender: nika_bp
Mariyinskyy Palace (1750-1755)
Nika writes that the palace is in the centre of Kiev and is now used for official receptions and other ceremonies by the President.

The palace is known for its white columns, pilasters, pilaster strips, cornices, platbands and pediments which show up effectively against the turquoise background. I think it is beautiful and all the more for its turquoise background, which is my favourite colour!
