Quote on card (German): "Morgenstund macht Wecker wund". Alienne writes that this means, "The early bird destroys the alarm clock". It is a wordplay on the old saying, "Morgenstund hat Gold im Mund" ie. "The early bird catches the worm". I used to have a friend in my student days who was infamous for destroying three radio alarm clocks by throwing them way across the room from the bedside table. What a waste!
Are you an alarm clock whacker? Try this tip: Keep the alarm clock at a distance (over a shelf or something) to make you get up from your bed, walk to the place and shut off the alarm. Then give yourself a pat on the back for getting up as soon as your alarm clock goes off! But if you manage to whack it still...what else?
It is then time for you to buy a new alarm clock, that's what!! :D
