Sailing on the Solent, Off Cowes, Isle of Wight
'Y' is for 'Yachts'! Duplevista apologised for as he put it, "this boring card". Not at all, not at all! This is a great picture, I can almost feel the wind in the sails and the speed of the yachts.
The Solent is a broad stretch of tidal water between the Isle of Wight and England's mainland.
Cowes is a seaport town, the gateway town for the Isle of Wight, best known for international yacht racing, "Cowes Week".
I've never been to the Isle of Wight myself, the furthest south I've been to is Portsmouth.
