The Spasskaya Tower

Sender: Marina
The Spasskaya tower of the Moscow Kremlin. In wintertime...
Lovely stamps. I wish I can read what those buildings are.

Good morning, Lufra! I've just come across your blog here, and as it seems to be the very card I've sent to you, I can explain what the words on these stamps mean ;)

It's all about Solovetsky monastery, so on the first stamp you see Andrey Pervozvanny Church, built in the 18th century and situated on the territory of the monastery and on the second one - one of its towers :) There is also a large article on wikipedia in English about this site, if you want to learn more about it!

TQ for visiting Marina, I have taken your advice & read the article. Love to do "armchair travelling" & your country has such beautiful buildings :)
