Heceta Head Lighthouse

Sender: Hootnoodle
Heceta Head Lighthouse
Dwarfed by the impressive cliff on which it was built in 1894, Heceta Head Lighthouse's picturesque setting has made it one of the most photographed lighthouses in the United States.

Heceta Head (pronounced huh-SEE-tuh) honors Bruno de Heceta, the Portuguese captain of a Spanish ship, who first sighted the cape in 1775.
