Built in1959, the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds are a popular events venue, mostly known for holding the Estonian Song Festival (every 5 years), one of the largest amateur choral events in the world where nearly 25,000 singers participate. The open-air audience is around 100,000 persons and has even reached 300,000!
Gustav Ernesaks (1908-1993) was an Estonian composer, choral conductor and pedagogue.
