Iceland, the second largest island in Europe, lies close to the Arctic Circle. Veidivötn is a watery landscape in central Iceland. It includes about 50 lakes of various sizes, many of which are crater lakes. It is a highland oasis, rich in trout. In the picture, spring moss gives the black volcanic rock its green accents.
