Deciduous arbor, with quincunx compound leaves in mutualism, blossoming in February & March. Red flowers appear before the new leaves do.
Say whaaaaat? (goes Lufra, the ever-clueless).
But the red flowers are striking and will provide happy colours on a gloomy day!
