Portland, Oregon. Many magnificent bridges unite the city of Portland.
I love aerial views. And yes, I can see the bridges linking one side of Portland to another. But what caught me was the caption "City of Roses". You would not be able to tell from this view that the city is known as that.
Apparently roses grow like crazy in Portland and it has many rose gardens. Most prominent is the International Rose Test Garden which is free to visitors. It is one of the official testing sites dedicated to the introduction and promotion of exceptional roses. I think my mum would love to visit Portland! She adores roses!
