'F' is for 'Flexible Flyer'.
A Flexible Flyer is a steerable wooden sled with thin metal runners invented over 100 years ago. The rider may sit upright on the sled or lie on their stomach, coasting the snow. I want to give one a try (imagine the fun!) but we don't have snow here except artificially made snow, in small areas, for some theme parks!
