Pledge Allegiance is Glenna Goodacre's whimsical tribute to one of the activities of childhood. Originally designed in small size as a gift to Barbara Bush, it was so popular that she enlarged to over-life-size. Goodacre is known as the sculptor of the Vietnam Women's Memorial in Washington D.C.
