Although he seemed relaxed, James Dean was a highly self-conscious star who fussed over the perfect picture. In customary leather jacket he poses awkwardly with bongo drums, a cigarette jammed in his mouth. 

In the early 1950's, James Dean was heralded as the new heartthrob of women and rebellious idol of men.

Quote: "How can you measure acting in inches?!?" (when told he was too short to be an actor). James Dean's actual height was 5'8".

Well....the man can actually take over the broom and sweep the ground, just sayin'! :-D

The stamp for this card is missing, presumably lost in transit, leaving just the shadow of its shape, accentuated by the postal mark...

A deciduous shade tree native to China. Tung oil has been used for paints and waterproof coatings. I have heard of the cherry blossom festival (in Japan) but not of the tung blossom festival but I read that they do have the latter in some Taiwanese districts.

This card is a shaped card (I think it looks like the Gotochi cards people collect from Japan).
